Fumigation Process

- In first step the area intended for fumigation in seal environment or covered totally with polythene or plastic (0.04 mm)to cover the entire area to cut off from the external air.
- Note the moisture content and average temperature of the area. If the moisture content is quite high then DON’T FUMIGATE, may the commodity catch fire.
- Use the proper PPE and make sure the commodity fully covered
- The fumigant gas is released to percolate freely in the given space.
- Fill the fumigation form with the type of fumigants, date & time, reoccupying date & time, company detail and emergency number.
- Paste the tag to the outside area with yellow skeleton mark to be understood by everyone.
- After the completion of the service the poisonous gas to be released and way out fully from the given environment to clear up the area for human re-entry/activities.
- Note the pressure of the gas if it is less than 0.03 ppm then it is safe to enter.
- Issue fumigation certificate only by the professional authorized company and duly attested by the entomologist.
